FutureMedia takes 2nd Place in American Design Awards

Toshiba Regza Virtual Showroom

FutureMedia Interactive is proud to announce our recent second place finish in the American Design Awards’ 2007 Winter Semi-Annual for our work on the Toshiba America Consumer Products Regza Virtual Showroom Microsite.

The American Design Awards was founded not only to showcase outstanding design work in a variety of mediums, but also to help promote responsible use of design services. To achieve this goal, judges grade each project for creativity, effectiveness, practicality, and finally, ethics. Only sixty projects placed out of a total of nearly 1,250 entries.

The Regza Virtual Showroom is an exciting, new type of website that was built to promote a sub-brand of Toshiba televisions. The microsite uses an interactive video host to help the user decide on the product that best fits their needs, while using supporting content in the form of animations and interactive learning tools.

Rather than providing identical and generic information to everyone, the site allows a custom presentation to be delivered to each user. Upon entering the showroom, each visitor is asked five easy qualifying questions, and based on the answers, will receive a customized presentation that more accurately fits their interests.

Planning and learning tools, easy to access product information, and real-time where-to-buy information round out the informational side of things, and help to prompt conversions to sale.

Please check out the Regza Virtual Showroom for yourself!
